Hello to the person who's reading this. I hope you're having a wonderful day. I have decided to sign up for the Ottawa crew database as a potential production assistant. Also as an art production assistant, office production assistant and a field related to construction as I'm currently pursuing mater's in civil engineering at Carleton University. I also have experience working as a construction labor for Kionas for 4 months. Although I don't necessarily have any prior experience related to filmmaking. I'm someone who's familiar working in a film set before. I understand working in a film set is one of the hardest jobs out there which requires extreme patience and experience. However, I believe I have the capability to adopt to a given condition effectively with the work development given my quick learning skill. I'm someone who has always been extremely passionate about filmmaking growing up and have always wanted to work in a film and understand the process of filmmaking before I eventually lean into becoming a part of one. I'm currently in school pursuing mater's. Also am readily available for an opportunity to work in a film. I am also always deeply engaging in the film making process in my spare time and always willing to learn more. I have also worked as a background extra for Smyth Casting over the summer so I am familiar with the work that goes on in the set. It will also be an amazing opportunity for me to help Ottawa film office grow as a company and as a team by being a part when and if given the chance by a potential production company who's willing to give me an opportunity to showcase my skill. I can assure you, I will give my absolute best. I'm also someone's who's always willing to help other people. I consider myself to be generous and patient which I believe is an essential part of working in a film set. As I'm aware a work of a production assistant usually involves helping people already working in the set to help make their job sufficient. Be it by passing scripts, Droping off crew members. Holding a light. And anything that would help make the production go smoothly. I believe I can adopt to this lovely environment very quickly and help grow the production go efficiently. And also in the process to eventually learn filmmaking as that would be the ultimate goal. Adding to what I absolutely loved the most working in a film set on numerous occasions was the lovely environment that people brought to the set. The crew members, the production team and pretty much everyone involved in the set. People are always so kind and generous and I would also love to be a part of that and I feel like everyone involved are also passionate about movies and will help the set stay professional. I also appreciated how hardworking people are on the set and how enthusiastic people turn out to be on the very first shot and the potential last shot of the day. It brings the excitement. And helps make the process of filmmaking alive!
