UPDATE: The creation of a soundstage in Ottawa remains one of the Ottawa Film Office’s (OFO) top priorities. The project, however, is evolving from what was achieved pre-pandemic, having shifted due to several factors, most notably the unexpected and sudden passing of Triple Group President Andreas Apostolopoulos which led to a refocusing of priorities within TriBro Studios. As such, TriBro Studios is no longer involved with the project – a mutual decision that was reached after examining each of the parties’ timelines, refocused business direction, and COVID-related challenges such as supply chain issues. The OFO, along with its Board of Directors, are taking the time necessary to work with relevant stakeholders and partners to advance the project. The Ottawa Film Office remains dedicated to bringing the soundstage to fruition, and is in talks with various business entities that will offer a new structure to the development and management of a soundstage in Ottawa.
